Transcom’s rising stars - CSR to leadership journeys.
Updated on November 11, 2024
As part of our celebrations of Customer Service Week we would love to point the spotlight at some of Transcom’s rising stars from a few of our sites. Their hard work and dedication to customer service was recognized - they have risen through the ranks, and are now the ones bringing new talent into the fold, leading others or bringing business decisions. All ingrained into every part of Transcom’s structure.
We’re proud to present the stories of Kamila, Lana, and Ana Paula.
Kamila Kołacz - Sales Coordinator - Poland

I applied for this position to gain my first professional experience related to my field of study. While studying part-time, I paid particular attention to flexible working hours and the possibility of free weekends, which is why I decided to choose Transcom.
Working as a CSR gave me valuable experience. At the beginning, I felt some stress, but over time I gained self-confidence, which translated into satisfaction and achieved results.
I received information about the recruitment for a higher position from internal communication channels.
I hadn't considered applying for a higher position, but my coach pointed out that it was a great opportunity for development and believed that I would be perfect in the new role. This marked the beginning of my career. I started as a team leader, then became a senior team leader, and now I am a coordinator.
I currently work as a sales coordinator. I specialize in managing sales teams. Planning, motivating and jointly achieving sales goals brings me a lot of satisfaction and is an interesting challenge every day
Lana Sameh - Talent Acquisition Specialist - Egypt

I was drawn to apply for the company because a friend of mine highly recommended it, highlighting its exceptional work environment. They mentioned that it's a place where I could grow and learn new things, which really aligns with my career goals.
My time as a Customer Service Representative was highly rewarding. I was equipped with the necessary tools and resources that enabled me to perform my job effectively. The environment fostered growth, and I always felt supported by my team and management. This encouragement not only enhanced my skills but also made my experience enjoyable and fulfilling.
I heard about the opening for the Talent Acquisition position through an announcement made to all Transcom employees. This communication ensured that everyone was aware of the opportunity and encouraged internal applications.
I applied for the Talent Acquisition position because I have a strong interest in this field and see it as a great opportunity to enhance my skills. Transitioning from Customer Support to Talent Acquisition was a natural step for me; I leveraged my understanding of our company culture and employee needs to make the switch. I'm eager to embrace new challenges and contribute to the team in a meaningful way.
My current work experience is both challenging and exciting. Each day presents new opportunities to learn, which keeps me engaged and motivated. This role has significantly helped me develop my skills, pushing me to grow both personally and professionally
Ana Paula Silva - Team Leader - Portugal

When I first applied to work at Transcom, I thought it would be just a job like any other, but that quickly changed. Since the first day I stepped foot into this company in August 2022, I found a network of people that are nothing but empowering and constant support.
I was lucky enough to be inserted into a project that I ended up loving, and wanted to grow with. Being the first wave for the project here in Portugal was an amazing experience, especially being joined by an amazing group of people, and getting to grow together.
I had a lot of fun during my time as a CSA. Getting to see the project grow day by day was something amazing. And being able to welcome new agents into the company, the same way the company welcomed me was very gratifying. Not only that, but the constant support given by our Team Leaders, made me want to become more involved with everything, and grow and learn as much as I could.
That support and that inspiration is what gave me the necessary motivation to take the next step in my career journey here at Transcom. After 6 months of being an agent, and opening for a Team Leader position came to be, and I decided that I had nothing to lose by applying. Even if I didn’t get the position, going through the assessment process would be a learning experience that I was more than happy to be a part of.
But to my surprise and excitement, I got the position, and became a Team Leader. And now I get to give that same kind of support and be that inspiration to other agents. Nothing makes me happier than seeing our team grow, and agents feeling like they can grow with us, and have the knowledge, experience and confidence to become something more within this company, just like I did one day, and specially being able to do that together with other agents that also had the opportunity to grow, and today are the Senior Team Leaders, Team Leaders and Qualities of this project.
I just had my 2 year anniversary here at Transcom, together with Filipa Sobral, who also started as an agent the same time as me, and became one of our Qualities, and my work bestie, and couldn’t be more proud of us and all of our team members, for the amazing journey we’ve had so far.
My wish for the future is that we can all celebrate many more anniversaries together, and keep growing, helping and inspiring the next generation of agents that decide to make Transcom their future.
